Who we are
Coffold is a trading name of At The Printers Ltd (registered in Northern Ireland, company number NI652796), Unit 45, Banbridge Enterprise Centre, Scarva Road, Banbridge, BT32 3QD. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at hello@coffold.com or 028 406 25369.
What we collect
- Order details — your name, business name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, and what you ordered.
- Payment details — handled by Shopify Payments and, where you choose it, PayPal. We never see or store your full card number.
- Design Studio data — the account you create, the artwork and logos you upload, the colours and text you set, and the designs you save.
- Correspondence — emails and messages you send us, and our replies.
- Site usage — pages viewed, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address, collected through cookies. See the cookie section below.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To take and fulfil your order, produce your proof, print, and deliver — performance of our contract with you.
- To keep your saved designs so you can reorder without starting again — performance of our contract, and our legitimate interest in a usable service.
- To answer enquiries and handle problems — legitimate interests.
- To meet accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.
- To send marketing emails — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.
Your artwork
Artwork you upload stays yours. We use it only to produce your order and to keep your saved designs available to you. We do not sell it, license it, or use it in our own marketing without asking you first and getting your agreement in writing.
Uploaded images may be processed automatically to improve them for print — removing a background, sharpening or enlarging a low-resolution file. That processing is carried out for us by fal.ai, whose servers are in the United States. Images are sent for processing and are not retained by that provider for training.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of service providers, each acting on our instructions:
- Shopify — this shop, checkout and payment processing.
- Base44 — the Coffold Design Studio, where accounts and saved designs are held.
- fal.ai — automated image clean-up, as described above.
- Our couriers — name, delivery address and telephone number, so they can deliver.
- Our accountants and HMRC — where the law requires it.
Some of these providers are outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK it is protected by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or by the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We do not sell your personal data, and we never have.
Cookies
This shop sets cookies that are strictly necessary to make it work — keeping you signed in, remembering your basket, and securing the checkout. These cannot be turned off. Shopify also sets analytics cookies that tell us how the shop is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the checkout will stop working if you block the necessary ones.
How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records — 7 years, as tax law requires.
- Saved designs and Studio accounts — for as long as your account is open, and for 12 months after your last order, so you can reorder. Ask us and we will delete them sooner.
- Marketing contacts — until you unsubscribe, and for 2 years after your last engagement.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email hello@coffold.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are not happy with our answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Children
This is a trade product and the shop is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you by email.
